Map tools · MAIN MAP V2

Using the map

Jump to coordinates, draw a cross-section and plan how much ground to move.

Find a location

Coordinates on this wiki are in (X, Z) order. X increases to the right and Z increases down the map. MAIN MAP v2 spans X −392 to +392 and Z −376 to +376, with one sample per meter.

Choose a marker under Find a location, or enter X and Z and select Go. Use Map layers to show drill spots, seam outlines, flags and vehicles. Trees and bushes are visible by default and can be toggled separately.

Draw a cross-section

  1. Pick your endpoints. Select Draw slice and click two points on the map. You can also type both pairs of coordinates into the cross-section form and select Plot slice.
  2. Pick a vertical scale. The default Elevation view shows terrain, seams and water at their heights. Dig depth measures down from the ground or riverbed.
  3. Inspect the cut. Hover or tap a sample, or open View readings along the cut for grade, dig depth, thickness and saved water depth. Toggle Show shallowest grade 8 line when you want to hide or show that marker.

Plan a dig

Use Best easy digs to shortlist shallow material. Select Plan dig and pick two opposite corners of an area. The map estimates overburden and gold-bearing material using the starting terrain and your selection.
